Senses reaching
Soul seeking
Hungry for kindness
To the point of blindness
Unable to discern
Overtaken by the burn
Reaching out tonight
Out far beyond my sight
Wanting you so much
Craving your touch
Focus returns
Heart still yearns
Thoughts subdued
Spirit tattooed
Ready for tomorrow
Accept it's sorrow
My tears drop slowly
Mind no longer holy
Missing the boat
Unable to stay afloat
Calm stills my soul
Exercising some control
Ready to meet the day
The next step, I pray
Recovery of my senses
Mending those fences
Ready to face the sun
I met fate and did not run
Walking with confidence
Now in the present tense
