 Touch
Solitude can bring peace and stillness,
But it's revenge is a hunger for touch.
Physical is not particularly necessary,
As words can touch the heart tenderly.
Introspection creates a void without;
The senses turn outward, union sought.
The powerful recoil is this craving lust
For a moment of touch between souls.
Drama played out on the stage of life;
That passion play sizzling emotionally.
Hungry souls devour the landscape;
Seeking fulfillment, seeking satisfaction.
Reaching out into the darkness for love;
Reaching out into the vacuum of space.
Echoes of tenderness return from life;
From the far boundary comes love's touch.
Focus on the importance of nirvana;
Attention on the prize before my eyes.
Return to the subtle world of quiet;
Stillness, peace; ripples of desire gone.
Knowing of meditation's darker side;
Aware of the hunger developing slowly.
Remembering the stillness within motion;
Living now, fully present, in touch within.
