Imaginations Running Wild
this will be an epic tale...written ab lib as i go...letting my mind wonder through the mist where it will go will be anyones guess...but go it shall...to see what can be created when the mind runs free with no restraints...to soar the skies...as free as the wind to dive deep within the oceans...swim with all the creatures...large and small shall we be a dragon...a gentle one...or maybe a mermaid...hair flowing all around to feel either the wind against our face...or shall it be the caresses of water sailing past this is our imagination running wild...no restraints...no barriers...just total freedom with only our pen and paper before us to capture our words as dreams become reality i see myself changing into a large sleek black panther...there is a full moon above around me are boulders...trees...a rapid flowing stream...high hills enclosing my domain a snarl escapes my throat as i catch a scent not welcomed...i become alert to the sounds an intruder has invaded my world...i slink through the underbrush to see who it is now i find myself changing into a large white wolf...laying upon a rock overlooking the glen once more the moon is out casting shadows everywhere...i am at peace...my world safe off in the distance i hear the howl of another wolf inviting a song to begin...i return my howl we sing our tales of the day...of the peace we have found...comrades of our songs what if you were sailing upon the open seas...the gentle sway of the boat...an ocean liner perhaps you stand against the railing feeling the soft spray of water...the sound of gulls overhead only water visible for miles around...the hypnotic sound of the engines beneath your feet all this within your head...and your dreams of adventure while you sit at your table Vote for this poem
