THE AIR I BREATHE








THE AIR I BREATHE  

As childhood friends
we played at love

Like vintage photographs we journeyed
in make believe

Wishing the days would go by faster
sharing secrets as only friends can do

We each traveled different highways
as we grew older

Seemly we lived charmed lives
flying from here to fro

Then that fabulous day
I saw you and you saw me

Our play love became a passion
our souls became one

You were the air I breathed
I was the love you cherished

From childhood friends
I became your queen and you were my king
