THOUGHTS ON LOVE - #3
How does one define love?
Too many believe it is simply
a feeling
an intensity
an overwhelming emotion
that one cannot control…
that it is felt only within the heart
But do you lose something of yourself
in the process when you allow love
to generate only from the heart?
Love means gaining something
in the pairing with another...
a higher perspective, a purpose,
a joining of two people
with one vision
It is the unification of the heart
and the mind…
a conscious decision
to place another person's needs
above one's own
and if you never have that with another
you are doomed to lose it…
it then merely becomes a lesson
and is gone
