Orchids of Love

My late mother and I used to have beautiful conversations before these enchanting blossoms. These moments I cherish much ...

What is there to say
To a beauty that grace my day?

Ah, delightful buds that blooms
amidst the crowd
of butterflies in colors hovering
and fluttering around.

Orchids of Love
I call thee.
Enchanting so many

From being a corsage to garland,
a lovely maiden,
thou seemingly stand

that even the wind that soothes the blue skies
sing thee lullabies,
and the rain with its longest duo with silence
speaks highly of thy presence.

Once, my mother caressed thy distinct petals, I remember
the warmth in her eyes linger . . .
a love that bears
from a heart that truly cares.

Days art numbered and bared
yet, thou art spared
with a special place within me
where thou continue to flourish along with my mother's sweet memory.
