 POETICAL ME

Where Petals Fell

The wine, the dance
The quick romance
Here the buck will leave it's tracks
Affection sought, love more lacked

Facade did play the role so well
The warmest was it's kiss not tell
But in it's wake somehow, some way
Petals fell once Rose displayed

It knew before the final act
Of love assumed it never backed
A sense that fell short of secure
The pain it left so real endured

You chased your dream as petals fell
Unseen goodbye, wishful too wells
Became of two now two as one
Begin to heal of loss once won

It is the way of life and so
Begins repair with heart in tow
Too much this day and so you rest
Tommorows bring the real true test

The end becomes the better you
The woman, man once broken grew
Healing slowly became your friend
Where petals fell, in time, you mend
