My SoldierHe does not know my face nor name, my Soldier protects me just the same. He does not question who or why, it is my Soldier who risks his Life. For Freedom, he is trained to fight, without knowing me, keeps my Right. Through dinner parties and Sunday brunch, when was the last time my Soldier had lunch? At night, I sleep safely in my home, my Soldier sleeps in a land unknown. For him, I worry, fear and pray, that his Life will not end today. I know this Life, it was his choice And this civilian wants to Voice, my Pride and Gratitude in this way, to my Soldier who fights for me everyday. I hold him dearly in my Heart, to thank him Eternally for his part and to know that my child Appreciates, my Soldier who did not hesitate. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
