OVER THE MOON  




  



OVER THE MOON

I sat on the beach gazing out into the rolling waves rushing to shore

Why had we argued - why did we say such unkind words

Why did you walk off down the beach with your hands deep in you pockets

Such overwhelming loneliness and longing filled my heart

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Overhead the seagulls saw my sadness

Oh if I had the wings of Pegasus I thought

Before my eyes the sea birds turned into a large creature with wings
 
His wings spread out and they lifted me up high
 
into the sky and I was being taken away to never never land

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Below I saw you running toward me with your arm waving to me

"come back my love  I am sorry"

Pegasus turned to look at me I shook my head okay

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Down he flew to pick you up

High higher we flow up over the moon

to the place where dreams are made

never more to part for another day
