Melting

Sleep won't come.
I lie awake.
There are no more dreams left to imagine.

Headache pounds.
I take my pills.
There are no more heartbeats to capture.

Once upon a time in a different diamond
there were lots of polished words.

Once upon a time in a questioning mode
there were lots of illusionary verbs.

Pain won't end.
I die alive.
There are no more graves to dig.

Sleep won't come.
I lie awake.
Capturing the fallen angels that
have become my justification
for melting.
