Light Enough to See By

With one slip of
your magnificent tongue,
you drank
me into you.
I held your hands in mine,
abandoned my glass
celebrated us.
There wasn't time anymore
to drink wine or talk of
favourite music.
We were past that uncomfortable distance.
With one touch of
your incredible hands,
you drew me
close to you.
I closed my eyes.
I opened my eyes.
This was not imagination
but instead
our private room
of reality.
You closed the door,
you shut the lights.
No matter.
The hungry panting we were sharing
was light enough to see by.
