O Devi, Sri Lalitha, who is on the Lion throne,
You are the Supreme Goddess and the Great Queen,
Holding the universal mind as a bow in Your hand!
Your glory pervades the earth, Space and the Heaven
You are the most beautiful Queen of the three worlds,
O Queen of the Universe, blazing as Supreme light
In the center of the wheel of the whole universe!
You are the soul of light shining in the human body!
O Goddess, You are worshiped in the center of a circle
As Divine Mother of the universe, who is holding the Sun
As Her discus and who nourishes all with Her Sun rays!
O Mother of great wisdom, You, who rules the universe
And who controls the three worlds and all the elements,
You are the Great light of the Supreme Consciousness
And the Great Energy which controls all celestial bodies!
You are the Great Beauty who enjoys blissful love of Shiva,
Who has become the God of love, and in Whose embrace
Your horripilation hemmed firmly within Your stout breasts!
O Goddess of red effulgence, who enchants the three worlds,
Who assumes fifteen forms of Nityas to delight Lord Shiva
You are the Goddess who was praised in the hymns of Vedas!
You are the basis for the Word formulas and all the Sciences!
O Great Goddess, You are the essence of the art of love
And the Queen who rules the empire of Divine love!
May Your horripilation of desire be a delight
To the heart of Shiva, and be a blessing
Of spiritual bliss to Your devotees
Who have taken refuge at
Your lotus feet!
