You're luminous with a mark
Of musk on Your forehead,
And, You are gladdened
By the fragrance of musk;
I heard, You love the devotees
Who worship You with musk;
And, You're giving boons to those
Who burn musk as incense!
I am not rich to burn the musk
As incense, in stead, O Mother
I burn my desires for pleasure
In the fire of my consciousness!

If You are fond of a musk-deer
And pleased by eating of musk,
Then, make me a musk-deer
To wander in Your play gardens,or
Consider my poetic words of love
As my offerings of musk!
It is said that, You are adorned
With garlands of camphor, and,
You are always gladdened
By the scent of camphor, hence,
I offer these devotional poems
As the garlands of camphor!
