Softly lit background brings my attention
to the foreground.
Looking into this hollowness,
this emptiness I feel;
seeking what underpins
my mood.
Emotions still, somewhat dulled;
not sad, not even angry…
Just here, without hope;
though a lifeline is thrown.
Bobbing up and down
in the darkened seas;
floating without purpose.
Feeling so disconnected from
my creative source today.
Simply walking,
going through the motions;
I smile, I act just fine.
Internal echoes
of a forgotten past;
echoes of laughter.
Reaching deep for the motivation
to get out of bed.
This is a look into my soul…
Into the blues image.
