 once upon a time

Okay, where do we go from here?
Move on over there, wherever there is.
Why can’t we stay here?
Because there is no here anymore.
It’s all gone over there.

Why? Who can say? One minute it was here.
Next minute it was gone to God knows where.
Whilst we had it here life was good.
If that was the case why did we let it go over there?
Don’t know. All I can say is it was good over here until what?
Well, they, the people we never see wanted it back.
It was theirs so it all was going to go over there.

Now, I’m sure you’ll have realized that over here
And over there are all the one place.
The banks are everywhere and they are the ones who own it all
Whether it’s over here or over there.
We are tied to them by plastic cards
The ones we use when we are over here or there.
