O Mother of the world! Innumerable poets
Courted the Goddess of beauty and wealth,
And the Goddess of learning; after attaining
Them, they tasted the honey of their lips, and
Enjoyed the embrace of their lovely breasts!
But none of those poets could ever enjoy
The fragrance of Your lotus feet! O Goddess,
Only Shiva,Your consort, the Lord of Kailas,
Who knows the tenderness and the beauty
Of Your breasts and thighs, enjoyed it.
Those red feet, which are worshiped by
Shiva, may cause divine bliss in my heart!

O Bhavani,You are the Goddess of chastity!
When You were born as Girija to Himavath,
You performed penance to unite with Great God,
Without taking food, or a leaf, then You were called
Aparna, the One without a lief; but the wise speak of
You have no physical form,and Your form consists
Of Great wisdom and the light of Consciousness!
Just like Shiva, the Lord of Eternal Time and Space
You wear nothing except the Starry Sky, there fore,
Shining with bunches of the blossoms of knowledge,
O Mother, May You shine as Heaven in my mind!
