Such a Mother

A mother ingrained in her nature takes on this duty so readily
As she provides nourishment to make sure her offspring is healthy
And later provides that hand with such love in guidance
So that as they mature they can operate with a degree of independence

This mother to us all has a love that seems to have neither beginning nor ending
No matter what she is always giving as we appear to be always so demanding
From inception we often leave her in such an uncaring mess
Because we stop at nothing just to make sure our needs get address

Even from her hands not matter her situation or condition
We will still want to pry from them that valuable diamond
And there are those moments when we get so very bold
That we do not hesitate to way even her precious gold

Not caring at all into her inner walls to continue to attack
And even from her bowels lots of oil we do commercially extract
Getting so lazy that this resource we have establish that dependency
As it has become that source which fuel lots of our required energy

But yet she still loves us even though we continue so heavily to pollute
Her water throughout the years yet she in anger never did rebuke
And there is no show of care even those moments when she started choking
Constantly breathing in that air that out deeds are continually polluting

Our greed show when in development we seem so overjoyed
Never caring about which part of her in the process gets destroyed
Our faces show that happiness as those finances and investments become bigger
But never stop to notice what is being done to make her suffer

There is no love around that can match that of a mother
One so unconditionally and there is nothing that can better
But this mother's love all of us continue to take for granted
How long will it take mother earth to   notice that she is being exploited?
