Profession of Faith
We heard it before from Christ,
And want to make sure you knew;
Never to become enticed,
By the darkness still in you.
Because our Lord is light,
Having no darkness in Him;
And He is shining so bright,
Never to be glowing dim.
If a relationship with God,
Is truly deeply within;
Then no longer are we flawed,
Being corrupted with sin.
But if we live in the dark,
Then we lie, no truth within;
For in darkness we embark,
And still living within sin.
If we do live in the light,
In the same as our Lord;
We are blessings in His sight,
And we live in one accord.
Then as kin to each other,
All being cleansed by the blood;
And your sister and brother,
Are rid of the sinful crud.
By saying we have no sin,
Then it is us we deceive;
But if we confess within,
God forgives is we believe.
