sowing seeds of yesteryears©

I'm not a flower
i'm merely a weed,
i over you tower
for a helping seed.
Plant your seed in my garden
i won't let go,
nor will i completely harden
as my cold winds blow.
I have no lasting beauty
it withered down the line,
but if you can spare a seed for me
maybe just maybe some dignity will be mine.
Memories of my used to be blow in the wind
i always was a scatter brain,
oh back in the day w/my sunshine spread how we grinned
before i brought on so much hard rain.
Once i bloomed in full
i petaled with such ease,
but time came along and stole
my beauty in the breeze.

I wanna shoot up to the sky as nice as you please
Without my beauty i wanna die....
i'd get down and pray if i only had knees.
