~menstoes~©

A little six year old boy decided
he would burn all his menstoes.
He gathered them all in a circle,
had his daddy light the match
cause he was too little.
They both watched as one by one
they all seemed to burn away:
he cried but kept on going.
When all was said and done,
they looked at the hole
and all his treasures were still there:
every single one.
Well how can this be,
they should all be an ember?!
It's simple so you see:
they stay a part of you and me,
the memories we so treasure.
It's the same with our spirit,
we rise from the ashes:
we guard anything near it,
no matter what the path is.
We never really die,
we merely change appearance.
We're all angels you and i,
and love will never fail:
anything less than that
will burn a blazin trail
and it will be a huge clearance sale!
(momentos they stay w/us that's how true heart goes)
