``DESIRE IN HIS EYES``

In the mist of early morning hours
she cries

Waiting for desire to appear in
his eyes

She waits until the dusk of a
long day

Hoping that soon he will come
her way

The longest hours of her day
spent dreaming away

Waiting for twilight with its
rosy glow

To brighten his empty soul
with happiness aglow

Then the stars will light up
the skies

As again she sees desire in
his eyes
