JUST THINK . . .
I'd walk into the room and watch
The red light on my phone
BLINK BLINK BLINK!
I'd press the button
And then I would hear
The sound of your voice
Ever so near, SO NEAR.
"I'll see you later sweetheart,"
I'd hear you say
Your voice
So close to me that day.
You are gone now
My precious one
Spring is here
But there is no sun.
No more sun that shone so bright
No more Milt near me to light
Every dark and dreary night.
JUST THINK
How nice it would be
Again to see
That red light BLINK, BLINK, BLINK!
No, this is a dream
That won't come true
No telephone will connect me
To Heaven and YOU.
