Servant Trust in the LORD
The Lord has given me a tongue,
For His Holy Word to be flung;
Which teaches me what I should say,
Proclaiming to trust and obey.
So I know what I truly seek,
For the right words that I must speak;
On how to encourage people,
What is written in the Gospel.
Every morning I hear His speech,
As I will listen to God teach;
For I am His student who seeks,
Lessons that His Holy Word speaks.
The Almighty Lord clears my ear,
So I will be able to hear;
While He opens mind and heart,
Giving the new day a fresh start.
I will not rebel or reject,
Nor never trying to neglect;
The teachings that God gave to me,
Since it opened my eyes to see.
I will not turn my face away,
Allowing me to go astray;
I would go and offer my back,
To be whipped for words that I slack.
Who among you does fear the Lord,
Been obedient or has ignored;
Let those in darkness have no light,
Remain banished far from His sight.
