I thank the Lord, who always leads,
To a place to plant the good seeds;
In victory because of Christ,
Telling how much He sacrificed.
Wherever we go we make clear,
Just what it means having Christ near;
Like a fragrance that fills the air,
The aroma having Christ there.
Being in Christ we have that scent,
Which keeps us humbled and content;
Among the ones that are dying,
Because they have been defying.
To some people they take offence,
Calling us a deadly fragrance;
But I tell you we are not death,
Rather we give a living breath.
Who is able to tell of Christ,
One that does not become enticed;
And selling of an impure word,
That will deceive when it is heard.
False doctrine like many others,
Will disguise themselves as brothers;
Misleading and hiding the facts,
Like a virus that someone contracts.
Rather our message is pure,
Since it also does hold a cure;
For those who will truly believe,
The eternal life that they receive.
We are not corrupting the Word,
Instead new life through what is heard;
To savor the knowledge of His grace,
From the fragrance with sweet embrace.
