Botanical garden

An ancient stone wall
Encircles a striking botanical garden,
Overflowing with dainty perfumed petals,
That overwhelm the senses,
And nimble reeds that chime as the wind blows.

Masculine trees rise above the terrain,
As their leaves dangle from the poised branches.

Mystic noises tremble and chirp,
And the blackbirds croon with happiness.

Regal architecture surrounds the vegetation.
Distinctive colours of magenta, burgundy, fawn and golden yellow,
paint the exquisite flowers.

Ladies pin cushion plants are situated beside the willowy bleeding hearts and
The fragrant lavender.

Majestic roses hug the trellis,
And pansies bask in the sun on a balmy summers day.
