My Daughters

My Daughters! x

(To Emily Grace aged 3 and Ruby Mae aged 6 months)

To my rays of sunshine, my beautiful girls,
Life is wonderful now I have you in my world,
Everyday is a joy I never fail to smile,
Even me being angry only lasts a short while.

You make it impossible not to feel blessed,
To have you as my children; you are the best,
Your smiles and giggles make me melt with pride,
You fill my heart with love as it beats on inside.

I kiss your knees when they bruise and wipe tears as they fall,
I make you see things aren't so bad after all,
Then when it's time for mummy to be upset and sad,
You two make me realize life can never be bad.

For your love is my gold and your smiles are my light,
You two are my rainbow that makes everyday bright,
My children, my daughters, my very own treasure,
My love for you both will live on forever.

All through your lives mummy will be here,
To guide you through strife and help conquer your fears,
Thank you my angels for choosing me as your mum,
Our precious life as a family has only just begun.
