Listen to Wisdom
Listen to this discipline,
So you do not go and sin;
Do not neglect what is taught,
You will find what you have sought.
For discipline and teaching,
Is a way God is reaching;
With a fine wreath for your head,
That will help you rest bed.
If sinners lure do not go,
For their enticement will show;
Through the personal pleasure,
And promising a treasure.
Satan swallows those who stray,
No escape to come your way;
Winding up being a slave,
Then left in a pit or grave.
Each one the Lord does condemn,
For their madness and mayhem;
And those who step on their path,
Will not be spared from His wrath.
Evil always runs through their feet,
And makes a chair for their seat;
No guilt or shame from a flood,
Caused by them from spilling blood.
In vain is the net they spread,
To capture prey up ahead;
When their prey carries a cross,
And they will suffer the loss.
