Our Rock
Give an ear as I speak,
For the truth that I seek;
Words coming pass my lip,
From the tongue off its tip.
Let my teachings come down,
Like raindrops verb and noun;
As my words drip like dew,
Or like rain onto you.
Let it not be ignored,
In the name of the Lord;
Honor as He deserves,
And serve the one that serves.
He is a solid rock,
Like granite a big block;
God is both fair and just,
The One that you can trust.
The Lord does nothing wrong,
And is who I belong;
But knows who is corrupt,
Their plans He will disrupt.
His children no longer,
Their shame is much stronger;
Scheming and devious,
And are mischievous.
Wrath is what He will give,
In the strife they will live;
As a dad scolds a child,
God will who runs wild.
The righteous He will save,
From the depths of the grave;
His children take above,
To His nest for the love.
Like an eagle does best,
In stirring up its nest;
Catches young on his wings,
Back to the nest he brings.
