* INUNDATION OF DIVINE BLISS.1*

  ~*~

  When shall I see Thee, O Shiva, and
  Gain bliss unattainable even by gods
  Holding Thy holy feet with my hands
  Pressing them against my head, chest
  And eyes and smelling their fragrance
  Resembling that of full blown lotuses!
  * * *
  Thou kingly bird of my mind, give up
  Thy vain wanderings and quest of joys
  Sport for ever in the nest of Shiva's feet
  Which are resorted to by the birds of sages
  For tasting the nectarine fruit of beatitude!
  * * *
  O kingly swan of my mind, sport here
  At pleasure with the ladies of devotion
  Residing in the privacy of the mansion
  Of Siva's feet- a mansion of brilliance
  With ruby like luster of those lotus feet
  And resorted to by sages who meditate
  On the meanings of the Sacred Mantras!
  * * *
  O kingly swan, why do you wander in
  The muddy tanks of worldliness fit for
  Mean creatures? Go unto the pure and
  Perpetual lake of divine contemplation
  Having eternal bliss for its water, minds
  Of heavenly sages for its lotus flowers
  The holy men as its birds resorting to it
  Sins as the dirt it cleanses away, and
  Virtuous disposition as the fragrance it
  Emits, and then my swan drink its bliss!
  * * *
  O Great Lord, who ever attains to a state
  In which he joyfully surrenders his heart
  To Thee and spends his time in meditation
  And ecstasy and in seeing Thy holy images,
  In listening thy stories, in singing Thy hymns
  And in worship to Thee- he attains liberation
  In this very life indeed, thus says a Sage Poet!
