 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Cascade of lavender tears
weep from the trees
and fall into the empty
well of my soul
for it has need of replenishment

Petals lament for me -
pink and white teardrops
from the cherry and pear
flood as rivers in the air

striving to wash my sorrow in beauty

It is the flourish of spring
and though earth is reborn,
fragrant in its blossoming season,
drought of spirit has scourged me
for my love has taken his leave...
