~*~     A dull witted man wanders about for flowers   Goes deep into lotus lakes and to mountains   But he does not know how to be happy in life   By offering his heart-lotus, O lord, unto Thee!   ~*~   Lord, let me be born as man or celestial, as   A wild beast or a bird, or any other creature   What harm accrues from these embodiments   If in every such birth my heart sports always   In the waves of supreme bliss consisting in   The constant remembrance of Thy lotus feet!   ~*~   If the Sun who is but one can penetrate through   Circle of darkness filling the sky reveals himself,   Canst thou not O Lord of beings, who art shining   With brilliance of myriad suns reveal thy self?   Who knows how thick is the darkness covering me   Removing it, deign to reveal Thy self unto me!   ~*~   The spring time of divine contemplation   Arrived in my heart’s garden, leaves of sin   Fallen away while creeper of my devotion   Bearing sprouts of many virtuous acts began   To spread, the flowers of hymns have begun   To bloom up with honey-flow of bliss divine!   ~*~   Siva, the Lord of all-the tranquil and gracious   God, the bestower of bliss-can be worshiped   Within heart and out side, for He,the king of kings   Dwells within and also transcends the worlds!!     ~*~   -venkat   Dt.5.02.2012   ~^~   * This is based on Sri Adi Sankara's   Sanskrit poem 'Sivanandalahari'. -venkat   © *2012*Revised with graphics.   Copy Right @ viswabrahma
