Sober Watchful and Firm
You have to serve one another,
With humbleness to your brother;
And having a good attitude,
Not being arrogant or rude.
For God favors humility,
Having peace and tranquility;
So if you delight in the Lord,
Then you must be in one accord.
Submit to the authority,
Of the church as priority;
Follow what the pastor has to say,
As directed never to stray.
Be humbled unto the power,
That God shows every hour;
So when time comes you are the one,
Honored by the Father and Son.
When you go to the Lord in prayer,
Anxieties ensure you share;
Be sure in keeping your mind clear,
Not distracted with having fear.
Because your foe is the devil,
And completely filled with evil;
Stalking like prey every hour,
Thriving on fear to devour.
So be firm in faith to resist,
For the tempter will still persist;
Jesus gives power to endure,
Blocking the power of the lure.
