Loneliness comes to all of us, sometime or another.
It doesn’t have a face, voice or touch; it’s just a strong feeling.
A feeling of being forsaken, empty, sad, inept, and unloved.
It particularly attacks the old at journey's end, while they try to
recall the days of their youth, through the fog of an aging mind.
For some it comes and goes, for other it never ends, it’s
persistent, cold and uncaring, becoming a gnawing pain that
grows, day and night, until it consumes the heart and soul.
Beware, for there is no cure for loneliness, sometimes you won’t
recognize it, until it’s too late, it’s like the proverbial spider and
the fly; once trapped, It’s nearly impossible to escape the dark...
web of loneliness.
