you must have floated around the universe
before you were born
particle of charm
you make me feel
better than marshmallow insides
sweet and soft and filled in
you don't smile, cant' smile
but your Cheshire grin
tugs on me big and wide
i love you i love you i love that
i always always will
i see in you a bright field of dandelions
exploding making more yellow lives
when i stare into the eyes
of you
so much
bolder than most
and the kindest of all
you have the heart of a colossus
so much
bigger than your body
which as you aged grew so small
the music you made is moving me still
though you're not around
I'm drawn to your will
you're the perpetual planet
in my swirling universe
my head's in your sky and
my feet lift from the ground
your orbit continues
in my heart
fills me with
sweet sibilant soothing sound...
yet
long after you went to your death
that old naggish woman
tore up your final resting bed
removed the photos, toys and blanket
so that she could plant a thicket
of miserable puny shrubs instead
in spite of it all
i'm moved by your love
and drawn to your spot
i must tell you Tigger
that death and indifference
cannot separate two hearts of the same lot
you are forever my friend
though disturbed be your peace neath
this plain
there is another one inside of me
where you'll always remain
my little king of hearts.
