so much love contained
within
one
mono-syllabic
word
"Loaf"
kitty
over-fed
stripes stretched
well beyond capacity
you fill my arms
and then some
when i hold you
there is barely room
for my chin
your size has more than twice doubled
since you were a little kit
i could not help but look into you
your gaze so steady you brought me in
and i beheld the heart of a lion
Right then I envisioned us
together, growing fatter and
very very very old.
