A Princess Moment
She tells me of time outs at school
Of boys at class that bend the rules
Of mascot theirs, a pig of sorts
Vinnie the Guinea daily holds court
She speaks at times language her own
But clearly makes her point well known
To all who lend an ear awhile
Including me amazed by child
She cooks a meal upon her stove
She says please eat sadly I'll know
Of her, this stage of life she'll grow
Too soon as I will too grow old
It's her time now and mine to share
All that she says in heart she bares
A multitude of things when I
Can be part of and too her sighs
She won my heart and always will
Be the smile in me fulfilled
When sad I am she brings to end
A story hers some of pretend
and when it's time for me to leave
I'll lift her up with one great heave
With kiss only a princess shares
Upon my cheek and hugs of care
Thank GOD, for granddaughters
I love you Xania!
