SET SAIL WITH THE SAVIOUR (prompt12)
I sought safety tips on sailing
With the Savior of the world.
My hope was reaching Heaven
As the sails of faith unfurled.
Announcing He'd arranged the course
He expected me to steer,
He warned me of the storms of life...
Of thundering doubt and fear!
He declared wild winds of doctrine
Would blow me off my course...
That I must use determination
And His Word as my resource.
He promised I'd sail safely
And get to the other side
As long as total trust in Him
Would be my only guide.
He spoke of others sailing
On a deep sea of regret...
On the waters of religions
That supplied no safety net.
Said my lifeline was the Spirit...
My SOS a whispered prayer.
"Bon Voyage"...He smiled at me,
"Enjoy your journey there."
Sailing Peacefully,
Doris Jacobs-Covington
