RHETORIC
We are who we say we are
I am an artist, I am a bricklayer.
Who are we, the human race?
Diverse, complex, enigmatic,
our egos drive us onwards.
We paint, we write, we sculpt.
We wage war most effectively.
We build and then destroy the edifice of our dreams.
We are complex in our rhetoric, always hiding in our words.
Sliegh of hand our magical way of talking,
You think you heard the truth, but did you?
We rarely speak the truth.
If we do, an assassin will silence us.
We are who we are, the sum of the whole of humanity.
The good, the bad and the perfidious,
Loving, living, killing,.Our rhetorical words give us up.
