Life
We hear it said, “Life is good”,
Or in the negative, “life sucks”.
When in actuality life simply is.
Cascading events tumbling
Continuously, full of interactions.
We spend more time judging our life…
The good, the bad, the unfair…
Than we spend living it, it seems.
Relax and enter into the river;
Swim in its cool, clean waters.
Drink from the fountains flowing;
Embrace the events that we face.
Live with a full bodied experience
The precious moment to moment
Existence that we have as a gift.
Entitlement… nope, we have no rights;
Be thankful for the present moment.
Delight in the flavors brought
To our tongue right now… savor it.
It is ours as long as we breathe.
Never wish away what we have;
Denying the reality that stares into our face.
Open our heart to the experience,
Without judgment, without reservations.
Life… devour the fruit of this world.
