The old school house was down the road a short way
Where children laughed and played each day

The teacher would call out their names at ringing of the bell
Asking them to share their stories of show and tell

Stories with articles were read and shown to all,
Fact or fiction one by one, some were short, some very tall

Lessons and studies came after the noon hour
When minds were aware with the wisdom of power

At the end of day, before the sun went down
Children ran off meeting parents at the edge of town

Off in their buggies or horse drawn wagons they'd ride
Tired but happy to have loved ones by their side...

THE OLD SCHOOL HOUSE STILL STANDS TODAY
BUT PROGRESS HAS TAKEN THE UNIQUENESS AWAY!

*~`^`~*



`This is a very long movie, but well worth the time watching it as it serves
a moral of respect for ones who need extra help and love in understanding
teachings of handicapped children.

`Thanks to `YouTube` for cherishing all episodes of the television series of
`House On The Prairie` staring Michael Landon and others in episodes that
generally focus on good old fasioned morals of life!
