For years precious Lord I have attempted to seek the truth
To share as I felt the way you wanted me to
Many times in my attempts I know I fell short
Yet I pressed forward in my attempts to share your word
As the years have gone by I received a little here a little there
Correction from the Holy Spirit to make me aware
The problem was in my attempt I failed miserably
For all along it's the return to the Cross that became the reality
For in ourselves by listening or reading man's wisdom
We lose sight of the Cross for both salvation and sanctification
We listen to preachers that we felt were very wise
Even purchasing products that are said to help renew our minds
When all along it's putting our eyes upon the Cross and Christ finished work done
For in ourselves trying to perform outside of the Cross and Christ is wrong
We commit spiritual adultery for attempting to perfect ourselves
The truth is being in Christ and trusting in the Cross finished work we'll prevail
While it seems so simple of a revelation most don't preach it
I praise the Lord above I was guided into this truth by the holy spirit
Anything we attempt to do on our own by reading man's articles and such
Will end in our own destruction and leaves out the holy spirit's divine touch
As we received Christ we are to walk therein
The same way we had faith and confessed for salvation
As Christ and the Cross is to be the object of our faith for sanctification
Upon this revelation now when I read the word more enlightment is given
A journey back to the Cross and it is there I long to stay
For it is in the Cross and Christ crucified that paid for all that day
Putting our faith in the Cross and Christ alone
Will be the only way that His life in us will fully come
The modern day church is turning to the things of this world
Instead of taking man out of Egypt they're bringing Egypt in to conform
Adding the name of Jesus even to secular ways of their worship
I pray this journey I've been on will help inform and edify another
While it is important to be careful of what we speak
We must hold steadfast to the Cross for it alone makes us free
I thought it was all about what I speak and what I do
I proclaim I know nothing but Christ crucified and on this journey He'll
continue to enlighten me to share with you.
There is power in the blood ! Hallelujah ,thank-you Jesus!

It's what Jesus has done,done,done!
Putting our faith in Him,the author and finisher of our faith.
Anything leading you back into works for salvation and if
you get into that you are back in the law and it is written,fallen from grace.
Galatians 5:3-5
