Inner Conflict
I have called out with all my heart,
To God to give me a new start;
By cleansing me of all my flaws,
And I want to obey His laws.
I call out to Him to save me,
Open up my eyes for to see;
Written instructions of His Word,
Coming to my ears that I heard.
I rise at dawn of a new day,
Getting on my knees for to pray;
Asking the Lord to sow the seed,
As I cry for the help I need.
My hope is based upon His Word.
While Satan has gone and blurred;
Causing confusion in my mind,
Making me rude instead of kind.
My eyes are open through the night,
Then tired when it is daylight;
I want so much to meditate,
But Satan flags to deviate.
I look for His mercy and grace,
Feeling comfort of His embrace;
But I never have heard His voice,
In which it lets my heart rejoice.
Those who plot against me are near,
Causing anxiety and fear;
Because of this conflict inside,
On which way that I should abide.
I hate going down the wrong path,
Because I know God and His wrath;
So I ask God to help me know,
The direction I need to go.
