 YOM HASHOAH
Do you remember?
How can you forget?
Do you say a prayer in silence?
For what we let
Come to the Earth in the past?
We it ever come again?
When men kill other men
Just for there nationality?
Because they were born Jews?
Do you know what day it is?
Do you care?
Do you have a number on your forearm?
Will you ever be free from the harm?
Of those who hate you?
Just for being?
Just for being a Jew?
Who will come next to kill?
Why do we kill?
There is no perfect race
There is good and bad in us all
Do not think you are better than someone else
We are all the children of God.
Never forget those who died
Never forget those who cry
Who cry this day of remembrance
That many do not want to think about at all
But when we don't think
And are lead blindly
By those unkindly
A holocaust will come again

And this time,
It may be your race, my friend

Yes, it could be your lot in life
Yes, it could be your strife and death
Yes, it could be the gas chambers for you
So are you going to remember as I am going to do?
