Tell me then about these changes
What they are and where I can find them
Equality, one man one vote, parity,of esteem
where do I look for them, on billboards proclaiming
You have rights, you are a people, we are one.

Tell me then why can’t I find them on the streets
Why can’t I find them in the schools, the workplace
Am I missing the point, not viewing the ‘big picture’
Why are we still segregated, own schools, own clubs
Own communities, what is this division between us
Tell me is it Catholicism, Protestantism, nationalism.
Isms are the bane of our lives, do away with the isms.

Change in our City of Belfast is a labyrinth of deceit.
Many faces this Change-less City adopts. Mistrust is
allied with accepting what we are told is truth.
We live in a city of make believe. Nothing has changed
or shall ever change we accept  absurdity as normality.
