 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart
When I die lift me up
Bury me standing up.
Plant me in the ground
in a biodegradable shroud.

I’m thinking ahead
Makes room for you to stand alongside me.
Even when we’re dead gotta be aware
All this land, nine feet by four,
Really isn’t a lot left to spare.
So plant me upright in a nice environmental shroud
It's a very tasteful carbon-intensive grave.

Seventy centimetres wide and three metres deep
My feet firmly planted on the ground.
I have to accept that it's common sense
As soon as heaven's gates open
I’ll be right there walking around
Without  my biodegradable shroud
