Poetic Verses
Hindsight
Lots of time some of us may sit and take a moment to reflect
And in those though found some things there to correct
But then blessed in those day with that exuberance of youth
Did not take time to think but did and even said as you choose
What good time enjoyed in those energetic youthful days
It is quite remarkable the way being young certainly plays
How the body in this stage is blessed with such stamina
So compared to now an activity could go on much longer
Remember those days driving that car at a very high speed
That stipulated speed limit got paid that smallest of heed
As it is like yesterday you remembered the police giving chase
The car was much faster and they only got duct in their faces
How at those parties not taking any moment to get to think
As there was such dancing around as there was downing of a drink
So the system now free of those initially retarding inhibition
You now become bolder even putting on your own exhibition
Now being older and wiser this is usually embraced by being mellow
There is no criticizing but can appreciate the doings of a younger fellow
Those thing you both did you can now look at and do a much better
Because that experience have now given that power to see a bit further
So on can see the veracity in that saying about hindsight
That it's the only way that one is able to see and understand right
Because being so focused on holding firm to a certain position
We never envisioned that harm that could be done to self or another person.
