Silly boy
thinking he'll miss something on the
cat social calendar.
He rises with the
squawking chickens
in the neighbor's backyard.
Whiskers flexing and
testing at the window
for today's temperature.
In his cat brain
the others are outside
starting things up without him.
"Hurry, Mom!"
"Wake up, now!"
La-La-Licks my face.
When all else fails
a little cat-breath nip to the nose.
"Phew!"
I'm up now...
Fixing little sir's breakfast.
Must keep up ones stamina
for the morning itinerary ahead.
Head butt. Heel nip.
Okay, okay!...its out the door.
He is all goo-goo, ga-ga,
eager-eyed.
On the look out for his sourpuss lady love.
Yup, this time she's gonna understand
him.
Full speed ahead!
Alas, she'll have nothing to do with
Little Lord Fauntleroy.
Keeps him at bay with a solemn hisssssss.
Only thing left for him to do is
groom groom groom
and keep his breaches neatly lapped.
Then trying to act normal...
is the boy cat ego crushed?
No, he'll keep on trying.
He won't be rushed.
He's all cat-man-do and
blessed with short term memory.
Tomorrow it will be all the same,
all the more.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Catsonova.
