Serving Others
Those having faith so strong,
Must be patient if weak;
Agony will prolong,
For results that you seek.
Never be conceited,
By thinking of yourself;
Think of others greeted,
Put you on the back shelf.
Give aid to your neighbor,
So that their faith will grow;
In labor and leisure,
So that Christ they will know.
Even when Christ had thirst,
As the Scriptures has taught;
He put Himself not first,
Before others that sought.
Insults falling on you,
Also fall upon Him;
Perseverance stays through
He will not become grim.
All written long ago,
To give us confidence;
So we endure and know,
How to build a defense.
God gives you endurance,
Also encouragement;
For peace and assurance,
Keeping each commandment.
