These days are strange,
viewing thangs that makes my vision
feel estranged,
changed broken dreams into premonitions
of better tomorrows;
these days constant trials flip the script
to make me think and learn new stratagems
amongst aggravated atrocities,
obscenities without proper remedies,
living among hidden enemies,
sitting beneath petrified oak trees,
enjoying the breeze,
but burning up from the lack of shade;
reminiscing on times when life
was an everlasting parade...
