 Whispers In The Wind

I was invented just for you, I finally know that now.
Whispering voices on the wind made it o' so clear.
Stumbling along all the years, surviving somehow
But wasting so much time, it would appear...

No epiphany involved, and no parting of the clouds;
Just a simple realization slowly overcoming me.
No words from any friend or foe were spoken aloud.
I heard it from inside myself quite hauntingly....

There's no earthly use for me except to serve you well.
I was sent here to keep you from stumbling or falling.
Why it suddenly became so clear to me, I cannot tell.
All I heard were the whispering windsongs calling....

Now you may rest yourself in the strength of my arms.
I will be vigilant and tuned in to your every need.
You must never fear that you might come to any harm.
If you are pricked by a thorn, I'll be the one to bleed....
